At least 23 man of the Central Reserve Police Force, an Indian para-military organisation were killed in a powerful landmine blast triggered by terrorists in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh state. While bodies of 16 personnel have been recovered, seven are still trapped in the anti-landmine vehicle which was blown up on Saturday evening by the terrorists near a village, about seven miles from Bijapur. Four CRPF personnel, including Commander B K Toppo, were injured in the incident. Three of them have been airlifted to Raipur in precarious condition. A victim succumbed to injuries in a hospital.
