The United States of America is ever on the hit list of Al-Qaeda, the face of global terrorism. A new videotape released by the terrorist group warned President Bush to end U.S. presence in Islamic countries or to brace up for incidents worse than the September 11 suicide assault.
The new videotape was made public on Tuesday. Appearing in the film Adam Yehiye Gadahn, one of the top-lieutenant of Osama Bin Laden, said,
Your failure to heed our demands ... means that you and your people will ... experience things which will make you forget all about the horrors of September 11th, Afghanistan and Iraq and Virginia Tech.
The seven-minute video features Gadahn in white Arabic robe. Known as Azzam al-Amriki in the CIA list of top fugitives, the man has been charged in the U.S. treason accusation for aiding Al-Qaeda.
The cassette seems to be prepared by Al-Qaeda’s media wing, as-Sahab.
Gadahn, also appealed to the Americans to convert to Islam and save themselves from the fury of terrorism. He demanded that the U.S. must remove its military bases from the Islamic nations of the Middle East and free all Guantanamo Bay detenues. He didn’t forget to bash the U.S. for its pro-Israeli views. Reiterating the Al-Qaeda’s stern warning to fight against U.S. forever, he made it clear that his organization will not be satisfied with American withdrawal from Iraq. It will fight till the U.S. gets destroyed.
The U.S. Government is taking the warning as rhetoric. Being more alert and added powerful after the September 11 attacks, the Americans are monitoring Al-Qaeda videos with usual scrutiny. It is unlikely that U.S. will bow down before the demands made by the terrorists. Reflecting this, Ben Venzke at IntelCenter, a U.S. Government agency that monitors Al-Qaeda messages, said that the group knows it well that none of its demands are going to be met.
