The Egypt police have arrested an American as suspected terrorist. The Egyptian authorities have confirmed the arresting by saying that the American is the member of a group of suspected terrorists arrested one week ago.
According to the administration, the group was reportedly the part of an Islamic militant terror cell. It was planning to strike somewhere in the Middle East.
The members of the alleged group were living in Egypt and were disguising themselves as the student of Arabic and Islamic studies.
According to the Egyptian authorities, the Islamic militant group was in the process to recruit others, to teach them destructive beliefs, to make them prepare for jihad, and for traveling to Iraq for their operations.
On the other hand, the State Department spokesman, Sean McCormack has said that the U.S. officials are looking into the matter and presently seeking consular access to the arrested American in Egypt.
