Bangladesh on the edge of knife

Talibanisation of Bangladeshi society and politics is taking its toll. A ruling Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician was killed and his three friends wounded when motorbike borne hurled three bombs on them. The victims were having tea at a remote village tea shop in western Bangladesh on Monday. It is yet to be established that the assailants were linked with the banned notorious Islamic outfit Jamaat-ul- Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB)which wants to establish Islamic rule in this country with secular traditions though 90 per cent of its 140 million population is Muslim.
