Never did one think that the ‘war on terror’ would come down to the level of Republicans versus the Democrats.
When Bush says,
“The Democrat approach in Iraq comes down to this: The terrorists win and America loses,”
one can safely assume that the battle ground in not to win the war but to win an increasingly hostile American public whose policy in Iraq has boom ranged.
The fact remains that the US built a false case to get rid of Saddam Hussain after the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Tower. A shell shocked American public egged on Bush to get Saddam because removing the Taliban and Al Qaida in Afghanistan proved too easy. And it did not appear a convincing victory in the war on terror.
What comes out of the hard fought election is going to have far reaching effects around the globe. A Democrat win is not necessarily going to change the view on the Pan-Islam call being advocated by the Al Qaida but it could have a sobering effect on the war in Iraq.
The uncalled for intervention in Iraq has created a civil war condition there. American taxpayers money and young men and women fighting a increasingly lost cause in Iraq is at stake in the run up to the election.
Leaving Iraq to fend for itself without an effective governing body in place will only leave behind fertile ground for militant Islam to firmly plant itself. The more intense the fight between the Kurds, Shia’s and the Sunnis gets in Iraq, the more dangerous it will get for the occupying forces.
Taking out Saddam Hussain has firmly titled the balance of power in favour of Iran In the region and containing Iran’s nuclear ambitions is going to prove another thorn in the flesh for any American government.
Democrats Win = Terrorists Win (America Loses) - Bush
