Kashmir limps back to normalcy-V

Jehadis are still there but do not appear to enjoy much popular support . Due to tremendous attrition inflicted on them by security forces they are not able to operate with the same level of freedom as before. Security forces are definitely having a firm grip on the situation and jehadis are on the run .However, it does not mean that violence has ended. It is difficult to hazard a guess as to when it will become ineffective. Nevertheless, Srinagar closes early, as everyone rushes home to be back before it is dark. Though lights are shining bright at night, fear nevertheless, stalks the land , till dawn brings sunlight . Sporadic firing can be heard in one corner or the other almost every night. But it is not serious. Life just moves on.
