Another incident of impolite behavior by crew members with six Muslims scholars has triggered the rage once again. The Council on American-Islamic Relations alleged charges of ill behavior of airline staff and airport security. The Muslim leaders expressed their outrage and sought for a high-level probe.
The incident took place when six Muslim scholars were removed from a Phoenix-bound US Airways flight. Flight 300 had to leave Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. The crew aided by the cops alleged that due to the suspicious activity by these passenengers they were removed from the plane. The passenger alleged that they were just offering prayers.

Abu Hannoud, civil rights director for the Arizona chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations said:

They were treated like terrorists ... humiliated. We are concerned that crew members, passengers and security personnel may have succumbed to fear and prejudice based on stereotyping of Muslims and Islam,” added Nihad Awad, executive director of the council, in a statement from the group’s Washington headquarters.

The council had called relevant authorities to investigate the matter, as to whether security personnel had followed a proper procedure. According to the council all six imams had come from attending a meeting of North American Imams Federation, ironically on how to bridge the gap between Muslims and American society.

It is unfortunate that due the terrorist activities of some Muslims the entire community has become victim of suspicion. The face of JEHAD and ISLAM has been misinterpreted and maligned that is why such incidents are occurring. This has given racist a means to discriminate. At least imams should be left out of this discrimination.
