Pakistanis are now resenting the meagre aids by the US and its allies to the victims of earthquake thar ravaged northern Pakistan. Tariq Ali, a Pakistani-Briton ask why have the US, German and British forces, stationed in Afghanistan, in proximity to the earthquake-ravaged area, not been mobilised to save lives? However, the US should not worry about such complaints. It seems that making complaints is a routine business in the Indian sub-continent. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, addressing the special congregation in the Jama Masjid of Srinagar on October 11 in Kashmir under India, was bitter about the ‘lack of response from the rest of India to the enormous tragedy in Kashmir in the aftermath of the recent earthquake’.
