All the seven men who are convicted to help in joining the terrorist plot to detonate explosions that was led by Dhiren Barot were sentenced to jail on Friday, July 15.

Barot was the main head of the terrorist planning. Each of the seven convicted was trained and helped by Barot in the plot.

Justice Neil Butterfield, presiding in Woolwich Crown Court said.

Anyone who chooses to participate in such a plan ... will receive little sympathy from the courts. The seven defendants had helped a determined and dedicated terrorist.

Although the families of the seven accused, will suffer a lot but it is just a fraction of what that would have been experienced if their plans had been a reality.

The sentences given were:
Abdul Aziz Jalil, 34, of Luton, England, 26 years in prison.

Junade Feroze, 31, from Blackburn, England, 22 years

Mohammed Naveed Bhatti, 27, and Nadeem Tarmohamed, 29, both from London, 20 years each.

Zia ul Haq, 28, from London, 18 years.

Omar Abdur Rehman, 23, from Bushey, England, and Qaisar Shaffi, 28, from London, 15 years each.

Shaffi was found guilty of conspiracy in a murder after a month-long trial that ended this week.

Dhiren Barot, 35 is a British who converted to Islam was sentenced to life imprisonment last year.
He was convicted of masterminding bomb attacks on many U.S. financial targets, London hotels and train stations, using limousines packed with gas tanks, napalm and nails.

He is also known to be the Britain’s top anti-terrorist detective as a long-term, dedicated and faithful member of al-Qaeda.

Barot was to serve at least 40 years in prison before he could be considered for parole. His sentence was one of the longest sentences that had ever been given in Britain. Later on, the Court of Appeal shortened the sentence to 30 years.
