Hasan Suroor, Special correspondent of the Indian newspaper “The Hindu” has asked some questions from Ms. Irshad Manji, Canadian author of the controversial book “The Trouble with Islam Today”. The minset of Hasan Suroor, an Indian Muslim, who seemed to be uneasy along with the majority of the Muslim educated elite in India and elsewhere on account of frank opinion of Irshad Manji on Islam, preferred to skip pertinent issues, raised by her. When will the Muslims come out of their corrosive mindset, born out of inferiroty complex? Ms. Manji frankly admitted that she was a lesbian and gave understandable reasons for such a development which is not acceptable at all in the eastern society. But Hasan Surror will not touch this subject. A special Indian edition of the book is being published in India shortly.
