A good news for all peace loving Jews and Muslims -as the holy month of Ramadan approaches towards end, Muslim community shows tremendous spirit of philanthropy. Yes, Muslim clerics and theologians come with an opening letter to their Christian counterparts reiterating to work together while sharing basic principles of worshipping one God and loving your neighbors?
Wow! Can anything be better than this? The idea is as great as the spirit underneath and probably the best option possible to solve all conflicts not only between Islam and Christianity but with all the other religions as well.
Is it a new found shibboleth that we weren’t aware of? Of course not, however, golden words remained buried in books waiting for the will power to make it a reality. If acted in true spirit, it’ll bridge the tradition of hostility between west and Islam as former believes that moderate Muslims are mute about violence.
The fact is very much true that world can not be at peace until both religions will be at peace. And one hardly doubts but knows that they won’t be. Why? Simply because Bush and Bin Laden are the 21st century incarnations in their own religions who are doing nothing but bringing the world to the end days mentioned in ‘Bhgawad Geeta’, ‘Bible’, or ‘Koran’ - the doom, I mean.
This is possibly the response, and of course laudable, to Pope’s speech wherein he called Islam a religion of violence. Again, it should be adjusting with neighbor’s religion rather than helping him find own ‘God’ (on either side) or forcing the same. On the other hand, equally remorseful is the fact that religious heads always preach to worship one God and at the very next moment divides it into Jesus and Allah...
Well, the ideological chasm between the two won’t be easy to bridge. Nevertheless, it’s a golden opportunity people and what you are waiting for, go and catch hold it, if you can.
